The durability of any colour depends on several factors: condition of the hair strand, previously existing chemical treatments, natural growth rate, exposure to external factors (sun, sea water, chlorine, thermal tools...) and post-colouring care. To protect and extend your hair colour, we recommend our complete - COLOUR COAT colour care line (shampoo, conditioner or mask, leave-in treatment, and serum).
9. What developer should I use with demi-permanent colour?
A thorough diagnosis is recommended before any service so that the needs and limitations of each hair are identified, thus ensuring that the result meets expectations. With DEMI
PERMANENT COLOUR you must use DEVELOPER CREAM 5 vol - 1.5% or 10 vol - 3%.
10. What tones should I use for yellow hair matisation?
A thorough diagnosis is recommended before any service so that the needs and limitations of each hair are identified, thus ensuring that the result meets expectations. We must use DEMI PERMANENT COLOUR and select cooler tones, namely tones with iridescent and pearl reflections.
11. What tones should I use for tinting orange hair matisation?
A thorough diagnosis is recommended before any service so that the needs and limitations of each hair are identified, thus ensuring that the result meets expectations. We must use DEMI PERMANENT COLOR and select cooler tones, namely tones with ice reflections and cold natural tones.
12. What is the developer volume to matise or tone?
A thorough diagnosis is recommended before any service so that the needs and limitations of each hair are identified, thus ensuring that the result meets expectations. We recommend the use of DEVELOPER CREAM 5 vol - 1.5% or 10 vol - 3%.
13. In what situations do I need to do the skin sensitivity test?
For any technical service, it is necessary to do an allergy test 48 hours prior to its application. To do the skin sensitivity test, remove the earrings, wash 1 cm2 of skin behind the ear or in the crook of the arm with soap and water or alcohol. Apply a small amount of product (COLOUR + DEVELOPER) and let it dry. After 48 hours rinse well with warm water. In case of irritation, itching/rush, or redness, wash immediately and do not use the product.
14. What type of colour can I apply to a pregnant or breastfeeding woman?
Unless there is a medical indication to the contrary, the colour can be the same as the person already used, regardless of the pregnancy trimester. There are no studies that prove the reproductive toxicity and teratogenicity (ability to cause malformations in the foetus) of any ingredient used in hair dyes, and in addition, no cosmetic can be absorbed into the bloodstream. Nevertheless, it is important to stress the importance of a previous diagnosis of the condition of the scalp and hair, as in any other customer.
15. From what age can I use a colour?
Although any of our colours are safe, they are not recommended for use in children under 16 years of age, since there are no studies in this population group.
16. What type of colour can I apply to a customer with hair conditions (eczema, psoriasis...)?
With scalp conditions, it is not advisable to apply any colour or treatment not prescribed by the attending physician.
17. When colouring the hair, my customer reports that she felt scalp itchiness and/or sensitive scalp. Is it normal?
A thorough diagnosis is recommended before any service so that the needs and limitations of each client are identified. However, we must distinguish 2 situations: The fact that the customer feels itchiness during the colouring process is due to the normal course of development of the mixture; if the customer reports itchiness or skin sensitivity after colouring, it is due to a variety of factors, ranging from lower immunity (for example, taking a drug, stress...) to washing the hair on that same day; these situations must be safeguarded at the diagnosis time, that is, prior to the colouring service.
